Information we process
- Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, phone number, consent record, and verification setup.
- Home-profile information, such as your address, home type, property details, systems, priorities, and active service area.
- WhatsApp messages, service requests, contractor options, shortlist choices, feedback, complaints, and support requests.
- Operational and security information needed to prevent duplicate processing, investigate failures, and protect accounts.
How we use it
We use this information to verify and operate your account, maintain your home profile, answer questions, check service coverage, identify relevant provider options, record your shortlist choices, provide support, and improve the reliability and safety of 404home.
Contractors set their own availability, scope and prices. You discuss those details and arrange any work with the contractor directly; 404home does not request quotes, negotiate, approve costs, schedule work or make bookings for you.
Contractors and other disclosures
404home does not automatically send your home profile, service request or contact details to the businesses in a provider shortlist. A personal provider link can show your job description and name so you can review them before contacting a provider by verified form, stored website or phone. These links expire after seven days; keep them private. We record when a link is opened, when you continue to a provider and whether you choose name prefilling. These events do not confirm a booking. The link records are removed within 31 days after expiry.
Where supported, you can explicitly choose to prefill your name on a named provider's form. Continuing with that option sends the name you reviewed in the destination URL to the provider and its form host (Waitwhile for the current pilot); the name can also appear in your browser history. You can edit a prepared enquiry on the handoff page. Choosing to copy it puts that text on your device's clipboard; choosing to open an email draft passes the text and the provider's stored public business email address to your email app using a mailto link. Your email app may save or sync drafts under its own privacy practices. You review and send the email yourself. Opening a draft does not send an enquiry or confirm a booking, and 404home cannot tell whether you sent it. Edits on the handoff page are not saved to your home profile or sent back to 404home. You review the provider's own form and terms before submitting, and information you share is handled under its privacy practices. 404home does not submit forms, send contractor enquiries or make bookings for you. Experimental contractor-contact automation remains disabled. We may preserve or disclose information where reasonably necessary to protect customers and the service, investigate misuse, resolve disputes, or comply with law.
Retention, choices, and requests
We retain account, consent, conversation, and service records while reasonably needed to operate 404home, maintain accurate records, resolve support or safety issues, and meet legal obligations. Expired signup and abuse-prevention records are removed automatically; completed or failed webhook delivery identifiers are retained for up to 30 days for replay protection and troubleshooting. You may withdraw WhatsApp messaging consent using WhatsApp's opt-out controls.
To ask about your information or request access, correction, or deletion, email info@404home.ai. Some records may need to be retained for security, dispute, operational, or legal reasons.
Safety and sensitive information
Do not use 404home or its AI features for emergencies. If anyone may be in immediate danger, leave the area and call 911 or the relevant utility emergency line. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, medical information, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary WhatsApp messages.
